Why the log showed “R2: No pending uploads”
Backups created while mode was gdrive only got r2_status = skipped. Sync only uploads pending/failed. Switching to both or r2 later does not auto-change old rows — use Requeue skipped below (also happens when you Save Cloud Settings again).
